New Skylanders High Five Frito Lay Contest

Hey Addicts,

Looks like Activision and Frito Lay are back at it again. Remember when they asked us to name a Skylander? Well, we did and now here is our chance to get our hands High Five!

I’m not to happy with the process though as with the Hot Dog contest we will be forced to use that darn Blipper App just grrrrrrrinds my gears! I sorry but this is by far the worst way to do this contest. I get that it may be more interactive and that it may be more convenient, but come on this app sucks! I like the original way buy some chips, send in your fee, and tada! You are getting your figure. I know there were some bad apples that spoiled the bunch but man these contests here as of late have been time-consuming and tedious in my opinion.

Anyway, enough ranting here is how you enter to win:

To Play

As always you have to be a US resident.

Game Period

Contest begins at 12:00:00 a.m. (midnight) Central Time (“CT”) on October 13, 2014 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. CT on December 31, 2014 (“Game Period”).  The computer of Sponsor’s Web master is the official timekeeping device of the Game.

There Are (2) Ways to Play

(a) Mobile Phone/Tablet:  During the Game Period, purchase any specially marked Frito-Lay Classic Mix or Flavor Mix variety pack (while supplies last).  Use your smart phone or other web-enabled device with data plan to download the free Blippar application (“App”) from the Apple App Store (IOS Download: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/blippar/id410604563?mt=8) or the Google Play Store (Android Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blippar.ar.android&hl=en). Once the App has been downloaded on your smart phone or other web-enabled device, launch the App.  Scan the back of the bag with Blippar’s in-app scanner and then follow the App instructions to input your first name, last name, date of birth, email address, and zip code.  If your mobile phone or tablet screen displays a winning prize message, you are a winner of a prize (subject to verification).  The message will also provide next steps to claim your prize.  If your mobile phone or tablet screen displays a non-winning prize message, you are not a winner of a prize.  Message and data rates may apply.

(b) Call Toll-Free:  To play without making a purchase, call toll-free 1-866-861-4528 and follow the automated instructions to play for a chance to win a prize (also a “Play”).  Callers will be required to provide their phone number, including their area code, and date of birth (as two digits for month, two digits for day, and four digits for year) to verify eligibility.  If you are a winner of a prize, you will hear a voice message indicating that you have won (subject to verification).  The message will also provide next steps to claim your prize.  If you are not a winner of a prize, you will hear a voice message indicating that you did not win a prize.

Randomly selected times, during the Game Period, will be chosen by the independent judging organization (the “Judges”), and the first participant who completes a Play in accordance with these Official Rules (whose Play is properly received and recorded by administrator’s computer(s) on or immediately after a randomly selected time during the Game Period) will win a prize (subject to verification).  One (1) prize will be awarded for every fifteen (15) minute increment of the Game Period.  All Plays must be properly received and recorded by Sponsor’s computer within the Game Period in order to be eligible to win a prize.

In the event of an identity dispute of a Play submitted via the App, the Play will be considered made by the registered owner of the email address used for the Play.  In the event of an identity dispute of a Play submitted via the toll-free method of playing, the Play will be considered made by the registered owner of the phone number used for the Play.

Limit one (1) Play per day per person/email address/phone number, regardless of method of playing.  A “day” is defined as a twenty-four (24) hour time period beginning at 12:00:00 a.m. CT and ending at the following 11:59:59 p.m. CT.

Prize Details/Odds of Winning

Prizes (7,680; one [1] awarded for every fifteen [15] minutes of the Game Period): One (1) Skylanders® High Five character.  Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $9.99 each.  Winners must accept prize as stated by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate potential winner.  Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Plays received and the time in which they are received.  Total ARV of all prizes is $76,723.20.  Limit four (4) Skylanders® High Five character prizes per person/household.
