Skylanders Battlecast Finally Coming To Stores
Hey Addicts!
Been a while since I’ve posted been really busy with the new baby. I wanted to share this tidbit of information. If you remember a while back I posted information about the Battlecast game being released March 1st. Unfortunately for us the game was pushed back for unknown reasons. Many of us were left wondering what happened anticipating the release while some of us ordered from overseas sellers
Thanks to my sources and the info posted by Skylanders Character List we can now see that a new date has been set for the release of Battlecast at Toys R Us stores that date being May 24th. That is exactly the same day the last remaining Skylanders figure Thrillipede and vehicle Buzzwing are set to be released it’s also one day after my birthday so you know what I’ll be asking for.
I’m really excited to get this game, as I know some of you are as well. I am also excited to get some Skylanders 6 info at E3, which is coming up soon. What do you think the new game will be called? Do you think it will tie into the new cartoon series Skylanders Academy or maybe the comic book series? Only time will tell I just know that I am over amped! Guess I’ll have to keep playing Superchargers and Battlecast for the time being. If you haven’t already make sure to go and download the Battlecast app so that you don’t miss out on anything. Until next time I’ll catch you on the SKYSIDE!

Let’s Talk Battlecast!
Hey Addicts!
As some of you may already know Battlecast is coming real soon! Thanks to Skylanders Inquirer, Dark Spyro, and a few other Skylanders blogs we have a little more info about what we can expect to receive once we purchase our first batch of cards. Here is a break down of the game thus far.
First thing to note is that there will be over 270 cards to collect. That is just to much power for one portal master to handle LOL! There are 4 card categories:
- Character Cards-Used to summon Skylanders to cast spells or attack.
- Spell Cards-Used to cast spells (of course).
- Gear Cards-Used to upgrade your Skylander.
- Relic Cards- Used to change the gameplay.
In the tradition of card games there is a rarity scale, a 4 level rarity scale to be exact.
Common, Rare, Epic, and Ultimate are the levels the cards will be broken down into.
The cards will be packaged for purchase in two ways. You can buy the Booster Packs which include 8 cards not sure if there is a guaranteed rare card included as of yet, but I’m sure there will be. Or you can buy the Battle Packs that includes 22 cards, and a ‘Trading Shield’.
What the Heck is a Trading Shield? I asked myself the same question. Well according to Skylanders Inquirer a ‘Trading Shield’ is used to trade cards, post pictures of your cards, etc. because once the cards are scanned into the game via the code on the edge of the card. The card becomes non-transferable the shield also protects your code from being used when you do share.
The price of each pack has not been stated for us here in the US, but going by the price Skylanders Inquirer stated they were $7.99 NZD (approx. $5.45 USD) for the Booster Packs and $16.99 (approx. $11.64 USD) for the Battle Packs.
I am guessing the price will be between $5.99 to $6.99 USD for the Boosters and $11.99 to $12.99 USD for the Battle Packs. We will have to wait a bit longer for a definitive answer.
Here is a list of the some of the cards thus far…
Commons:
- Hex
- Smash Hit
- Snap Shot
- Spitfire
- Spyro
- Stealth Elf
- Stormblade
- Trigger Happy
Rare/Epic:

- Pop Fizz
- Riptide
- Roller Brawl
Ultimate:

I can’t wait to start playing this! I already play Hearthstone and Battlecast is just a kid friendly version of that game, so I think I’ll enjoy it just as much. If you are a Hearthstone player you know what I mean. With Activision buying the MLG organization will we see a worldwide Battlecast Tournament? That would be BOOMTASTIC!!!
Want some cards? Head on over to Skylanders.Com and click the links next to the images to get Spitfire and Stealth Elf.
Special thanks to Jason over at Skylanders Inquirer for scoop and posting the images. Until next time I’ll catch you on the SKYSIDE!

Skylanders Battlecast? What Could This Be?
Hey Addicts!
I just saw this image on instagram (S/O to @supercharger_fiesta for the image) and thought I would share it because it raises some questions the main one being what the heck is Skylanders Battlecast?
Could this be the game we all were guessing about when we saw this pic?
The power bar looks the same as it does in Superchargers so maybe it is our answer to on-line multiplayer? If so will be in race mode giving us the chance to race against other players? Whatever it is I hope it looks as sweet as Superchargers does. Only time will tell until next time catch you on the SKYSIDE!
