Skylanders Trap Team Wave 4 Revealed

Hey Addicts!

Got some awesome news from the folks over at myskylanders.de. Today they released a complete list of what we can expect to see hit stores when wave 4 comes and I’m pretty amped about a few things that are coming. Since their site is in German I took the liberty of translating it for you guys as best I could so here it goes.

We are looking at a projected date of wave 4 being released sometime in March. I’m not sure if that is the US release or if that is the projected date for overseas Portal Masters, but either way that’s good news to me. Looks like there will be six core Skylanders coming in wave 4 included are:

Core Skylanders

  • Echo-Water Element
  • Rocky Roll-Earth Element
  • Spotlight- Light Element
  • Blackout-Dark Element
  • High Five-Life Element
  • Batspin-Undead Element

Glad to see we will finally see High Five and Batspin hit US stores I’m super pumped to get my hands on Spotlight and Blackout they look awesome and I bet they play just as well as they look if not better. Two of the most anticipated Skylanders Trap Masters will finally be making appearance in this wave along with Single pack versions of the Light and Dark Trap Masters.

Trap Masters

  • Short Cut
  • Thunderbolt
  • Knightmare
  • Knightlight

I just realized about a week ago that Short Cut was a Trap Master. I was already excited to add him to my collection when I first saw him, but after finding out he was a Trap Master I wanted him even more. Thunderbolt looks so BOSS he is definitely a must have for me I want to see how well he plays his attacks look sick! We will be seeing another wave of traps as well included are:

Traps

  • Rocket Light Trap
  • Rocket Magic Trap
  • Sword Shadow Trap
  • Sword Air Trap
  • Sword Life Trap
  • Upside Down Guy Shadow Trap
  • Upside Down Guy Earth Trap
  • Spear Fire Trap
  • Spear UndeadTrap
  • Axe Water Trap
  • Kaos Trap

Also listed are 2 Triple Pack Trap Packs do not know what will included in the packs, but I’m sure it will be the same as it has been released in earlier waves as a way to save a little cash and get more traps. Those of you that do not have a Kaos trap (I need another one) will have another chance at getting this hard to get trap before it becomes unavailable again. I’m sure there will be more Kaos traps in the wave but you still will want to get to your local stores early when they go on sale.

There are two new mini packs coming as well included in these packs are:

Mini Skylanders

  • Pet Vac (Jet-Vac)-Air Element
  • Breeze (Whirlwind)-Air Element
  • Barkley (Tree Rex)-Life Element
  • Whisper Elf (Stealth Elf)-Life Element

We will also see more of Mini Pack 5 (Gill Runt & Thumpling) and Mini Pack 6 (Small Fry & Weeruptor). There are some things expected to be released as well but not in wave 4 they will have their own separate releases or come in a mini wave. We already know about Nitro Head Rush, Legendary Bush Whack, and Love Potion Pop Fizz, but who else is coming? Here is a list of things we should see from now until at least April.

  • Enigma
  • Gearshift
  • Flip Wreck
  • Fling Kong
  • Triple Pack (Deja Vu / Rocky Roll / echo)
  • Triple Pack (Blackout / Fling Kong / Pop Fizz)
  • King Cobra Cadabra
  • Gnarly Barkley
  • Yawn Trap
  • Praise Goblin (Trap Variant)
  • Steampunk Shrednought (Trap Variant)
  • Eon’s Elite: Eruptor & Gill Grunt

I’m glad to see Gear Shift will be getting another run she is still around in some stores, but it will make her more available for those of us that haven’t gotten her yet (I need another one of her too lol). I so hope Enigma comes out in a mini wave-like a 4.5 or something I have to have him on my portal asap! Also mentioned in the article are the Easter Edition Trap Team figures, but I’m going to do a separate post about these as I feel they deserve to have a post just about them. I do not have an exact release date on any of this stuff just projected dates or a figure and trap case break down or anything like that, but when I get the info trust and believe I’ll be letting you know. Take a minute to show us some love on our social sites I love to see what new things you all are adding to your collections, game tips, or just shoot the breeze (Pun intended). Thanks to MySkylanders.De for giving us this awesome info. Happy Hunting All! Until next time catch you on the SKYSIDE!

Skylanders Trap Team 3DS Images & Info Finally Released

Hey Addicts,

I’m a little late to the party but here is all the info I got about the 3DS version of the Trap Team. Just like previous games the 3DS version of Skylanders Trap Team is a whole new adventure this time there will be villains exclusive to the 3DS title. Call it the add-on if you would like that is how I have always looked at 3DS Skylander games in the past. Alas, finally we are getting a multi-player function with this version of the game. To bad it is just to be able to play the Skystones game hopefully we will see a multi-player function in the future on the console versions as well. Doesn’t look like we will be using Trap Keys in this version of the title as well seeing as there is not one included. Now it looks like I will be having to pre-order the 3DS version as well. Will you be getting Skylanders Trap Team on 3DS? Check out the press release and all the images provided courtesy of Activision in the gallery. Until next time catch you on the SKYSIDE!

SKYLANDERS TRAP TEAMTM FOR NINTENDO 3DSTM

LETS PORTAL MASTERS CONQUER AND PLAY AS VILLAINS ON THE GO

Nintendo 3DS Delivers Complementary Experience to Console Game On October 5 with 14 Exclusive Villains, New Storyline and Two Skylanders Toys Not Available in Any Other Starter Pack

Fans Can Now Play Multiplayer Skylanders Skystones for the First Time on Nintendo 3DS

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – September 18, 2014 – Skylanders ® fans can go on a villain vanquishing adventure this fall with Skylanders Trap Team
for Nintendo 3DS as they take on the evil Dream Sheep and 13 other villains exclusive to the platform. Launching day and date on October 5 with the console and tablet versions of the game from Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI),

Skylanders Trap Team for Nintendo 3DS features an all-new adventure with its own levels, locations and gameplay.  The game also uses the special features of the system, which gives players the ability to experience unique interactions with the captured villains. Additionally, Skylanders Trap Team on Nintendo 3DS introduces a multiplayer version of the fan-favorite card game Skylanders Skystones that uses Wi-Fi connectivity, marking the first time Portal Masters can play the mini-game with friends and family.

Skylanders Trap Team takes advantage of the interactive features of Nintendo 3DS in fun ways. For instance, after villains are defeated in combat, players can use the bottom Touch Screen to pull them out of the game and trap them in the Traptanium Vault.  Then, once captured, players can use the Touch Screen and microphone to poke, tickle and spin villains to make them dizzy.

Using the Portal of Power® included in the Skylanders Trap Team Nintendo 3DS Starter Pack, players can load in their Skylanders characters directly into the system, allowing greater flexibility for playing on the go. Additionally, two powerful Skylanders characters will be available at launch only via the Nintendo 3DS Starter Pack — Gusto, a Trap Master with an oversized Traptanium Boomerang that delivers the ultimate blow to bad guys; and Barkley, the Mini version of Skylanders Giants’ Tree Rex.

Throughout the game, Portal Masters can summon captured villains to unleash devastating attacks and fight side-by-side with their Skylander.  They can also play as captured villains in 13 unique villain “bootcamps” created by the evil Dream Sheep, the master villain in the game. Additionally, players can discover each Trap Master’s signature Trap Attack by collecting Traptanium orbs dropped by enemies when defeated, enabling players to wipe out evil foes with one awesome attack.

The Nintendo 3DS version of Skylanders Trap Team also enables fans to play with all of the toys from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure®, Skylanders Giants and Skylanders SWAP Force, enabling true cross-platform play.  All of the characters’ abilities, levels and customization will carry forward into Skylanders Trap Team.

Skylanders Trap Team on Nintendo 3DS, developed by Beenox, will be available for $64.99 on October 5 in North America, October 2 in Australia and October 10 in Europe. The game is rated E10+ by the ESRB. For more information, visit:www.skylanders.com.

Skylanders Day Mess!

So today was the official Skylanders Day at Game Stop today. There where some good deals today but I was really disappointed. I went out to my favorite store and I was expecting to see some wave 3 swappers and some others like Arkeyan Crossbow and Sheep Wreck Island. I was so not expecting to see what I saw and that was nothing! Not because they sold out, but because none even came to the store I was floored! To top it off for the 3rd time they say it will be a special collector’s poster but it seems more like a flyer rather than a poster.

I think there should be a little bit more given to us Adventure Club members personally. I mean it is Skylanders Day for crying out loud couldn’t we at least get some better posters like the glow in the dark Infinity Jack poster? Some of you may say I’m being a little whiny, but don’t you think we deserve more after all the money we pump into keeping up collections and keeping our kids happy.

I was able to talk to a few friends and they expressed their irritation from going to the event some didn’t even get the mini’s at there store! (Say WHAT!) I will say that even though there were none of the figures in store they let you order them to be shipped to your house for free which was pretty cool I thought. I was able to grab the collector’s guide and a swap force carrying case at a good price and got a free Sidekick Mini Barkley as well. (Picture Below) Let’s hope that futures Game Stop Skylander Events don’t leave us feeling empty handed, irritated, and under appreciated.
