Hoping to get your hands on the Rosalina & Luma Amiibo figure? Well if you reside in the United States then you’ll only be able to purchase the figure from Target. We knew that certain Amiibo figures would be retailer exclusive and it looks as though Rosalina & Luma have joined the party.
Well, it looks as though the Lucario Amiibo is once again up for pre-order on Toys R Us. The figure has shown up before but it generally gets snapped up rather quickly by eager Nintendo fans. It sounds as though Toys R Us will be getting them in in drips and drabs, but if you want it be sure to pre-order now.
For two days only, from November 21st to the 22nd, consumers can buy one get one 40 percent off all Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, Nintendo DS and Wii games at Toys R Us. The upcoming offer will apply to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire – all of which are launching on November 21st as well. Toys R Us is currently hosting another Nintendo-related deal that allows buyers to purchase three amiibo figures for $30. This offer will also end on November 22nd.
I’m a little late to the party but here is all the info I got about the 3DS version of the Trap Team. Just like previous games the 3DS version of Skylanders Trap Team is a whole new adventure this time there will be villains exclusive to the 3DS title. Call it the add-on if you would like that is how I have always looked at 3DS Skylander games in the past. Alas, finally we are getting a multi-player function with this version of the game. To bad it is just to be able to play the Skystones game hopefully we will see a multi-player function in the future on the console versions as well. Doesn’t look like we will be using Trap Keys in this version of the title as well seeing as there is not one included. Now it looks like I will be having to pre-order the 3DS version as well. Will you be getting Skylanders Trap Team on 3DS? Check out the press release and all the images provided courtesy of Activision in the gallery. Until next time catch you on the SKYSIDE!
SKYLANDERS TRAP TEAMTM FOR NINTENDO 3DSTM
LETS PORTAL MASTERS CONQUER AND PLAY AS VILLAINS ON THE GO
Nintendo 3DS Delivers Complementary Experience to Console Game On October 5 with 14 Exclusive Villains, New Storyline and Two Skylanders Toys Not Available in Any Other Starter Pack
Fans Can Now Play Multiplayer Skylanders Skystones for the First Time on Nintendo 3DS
Skylanders Trap Team for Nintendo 3DS features an all-new adventure with its own levels, locations and gameplay. The game also uses the special features of the system, which gives players the ability to experience unique interactions with the captured villains. Additionally, Skylanders Trap Team on Nintendo 3DS introduces a multiplayer version of the fan-favorite card game Skylanders Skystones that uses Wi-Fi connectivity, marking the first time Portal Masters can play the mini-game with friends and family.
Skylanders Trap Team takes advantage of the interactive features of Nintendo 3DS in fun ways. For instance, after villains are defeated in combat, players can use the bottom Touch Screen to pull them out of the game and trap them in the Traptanium Vault. Then, once captured, players can use the Touch Screen and microphone to poke, tickle and spin villains to make them dizzy.
Using the Portal of Power® included in the Skylanders Trap Team Nintendo 3DS Starter Pack, players can load in their Skylanders characters directly into the system, allowing greater flexibility for playing on the go. Additionally, two powerful Skylanders characters will be available at launch only via the Nintendo 3DS Starter Pack — Gusto, a Trap Master with an oversized Traptanium Boomerang that delivers the ultimate blow to bad guys; and Barkley, the Mini version of Skylanders Giants’ Tree Rex.
Throughout the game, Portal Masters can summon captured villains to unleash devastating attacks and fight side-by-side with their Skylander. They can also play as captured villains in 13 unique villain “bootcamps” created by the evil Dream Sheep, the master villain in the game. Additionally, players can discover each Trap Master’s signature Trap Attack by collecting Traptanium orbs dropped by enemies when defeated, enabling players to wipe out evil foes with one awesome attack.
The Nintendo 3DS version of Skylanders Trap Team also enables fans to play with all of the toys from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure®, Skylanders Giants and Skylanders SWAP Force, enabling true cross-platform play. All of the characters’ abilities, levels and customization will carry forward into Skylanders Trap Team.
Skylanders Trap Team on Nintendo 3DS, developed by Beenox, will be available for $64.99 on October 5 in North America, October 2 in Australia and October 10 in Europe. The game is rated E10+ by the ESRB. For more information, visit:www.skylanders.com.
Since all the news has poured out lately there have been a lot of speculation and complaints about the new game I wanted to discuss a few things I have seen around the web.
First and foremost there is no series 4 repose of Spyro why?
Well think about guys the only game that truly was centered around Spyro was the original Skylanders game. After that the other Skylander games were not focused on Spyro hence why we have seen less of him. We do get a mini and elite version of him so isn’t that enough?
Where are all the other Skylanders like Trigger Happy & Stealth Elf?
In previous games we have seen reposes of the characters we have grown to know and love, but this time around there are only a few. I for one am not upset about this change in the game there were beginning to be to many of the same character being made in my opinion. And from the looks of things Activision felt the same way. I think we will see some of them in the Elite series (Trigger Happy, Spyro, Whirlwind, and Chop Chop Confirmed) we already have some of them in mini form as well.
What happened to biggest release ever?
Uh? What are you looking at? The poster image that has been released clearly shows a lot more figures than any other release including the traps they’re a ton of new playable characters. We are getting 16 New Trap Masters, 16 Minis (8 New ones), 16 New Core Skylanders, 5 Reposes (That we know of could be more), 10 Super Villains, and 36 regular Villains that’s a total of 46 Villains! Not to mention that there seems to be 4 other unknown characters that could be introduced as new elements. That being said relax what more do you want? Anymore and this would be the last game and who wants that!
Where are the Lightcore Skylanders?
They will not be making an appearance this go around from the looks of it. I am actually pretty cool with that I think all the Skylanders should have some sort of Lightcore function instead of singling out a choice few. Besides with Traps, Minis, and Elite figures being released I think that would really be milking the franchise.
Do I need to get all these traps?
Yes! If you are an addict, but no if your budget isn’t that big this year you only need one for each element as you can trap more than one villain and save them in the Vault (New function coming to Trap Team).
Why no real news about the 3DS version? And where are the Traps?
I’m not really sure why there hasn’t been much talk about the 3DS version, but I think that the release of the Tablet version and the Amiibo figures by Nintendo may have something to do with it. Some have said that there are no traps in the 3DS version due to the picture floating around with Gusto and no traps. Well according to the Toys R Us website there is a 3DS version and it does come with traps. The 3DS version will come with 1 portal, 2 Skylanders, and 2 Traps.
Will all the figures from the earlier games be compatible?
Of course which is why we are not seeing a lot of them return this go around. But just like in other games the new figures will not be able to be played on the previous versions.
Ok guys hope this helps with some of the questions and gripes you have. I honestly am over excited to play the new game this to me is the most exciting game yet we get to play as Kaos and other villains I have wanted to do that since I first played this game. Now finally mine and I’m sure some of your dream has come true. Check out the poster below to get a closer look at the new Skylanders. Until next time catch you on the SKYSIDE!
